The local fruits of Eastern Thailand are loved by both Thai and international consumers, leading to a large number of exports, especially durian and mangosteen.
Having witnessed the promising opportunity to upgrade the fruits from the Eastern region of Thailand to become Asia’s tropical fruit hub, the Ministry of Commerce, thus, continuously launches many marketing campaigns and activities to promote Eastern Thai Fruits. Most recently, the Ministry is hosting the Eastern Thai Fruits Exhibition and promotional activity for Thai high-growth potential fruits, at THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA 2022 “The Hybrid Edition,” taking place at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. The exhibition is held by the joint cooperation of the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), the Ministry of Commerce, and 5 fruit associations, namely the Thai Fruit Trader and Exporter Association, the Thai Fruit and Vegetable Producer Association, the Durian and Mangosteen Exporter Association, the Modern Age Fruit Trade Association, and the Thai Durian Association.
The objective of this exhibition is to boost the sales of Thai fruits both in the domestic and international market, offering the fruit lovers fresh seasonal fruits such as durian, mangosteen, mango, etc., as well as chilled and frozen fruits in one place. Visitors can also pre-order Thai fruits directly from the farmers. In addition, there will be a Live commerce through international live stream platforms, allowing the overseas importers and buyers to purchase directly from the farmers.
THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA 2022 “The Hybrid Edition” that features the Eastern Thai Fruits Exhibition is Asia’s largest and most comprehensive food and beverage trade show, jointly hosted by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) Ministry of Finance, the Thai Chamber of Commerce (TCC) and Koelnmesse, Germany (KM) between 24-28 May 2022.
