THAIFEX-VTS has exceeded the targeted goal and led to fruitful trade opportunities for Thai food and beverage business operators, affected by the COVID-19 global pandemic. The order value went up to 2,362 million baht, exceeding the target of 830 million baht.
The THAIFEX – VTS is destined to expand opportunities for Thai business operators to showcase their products to the global buyers to enjoy the 24-hour virtual exhibition tour via www.thaifex-vts.com with 360-degree product views as if they were visiting the physical exhibition booths. Participants can also join virtual online business matching with top Thai suppliers through video calls during the online business matching event days, and connect via Live Chat or Call throughout 24 hours on the platform.
To recap the overview of this year THAIFEX-VTS, there were 386 exhibitors in total, comprising 338 Thai exporters, 18 government agencies and 30 Future Food entrepreneurs. Mr. Jurin further added that to build upon the tremendous success of this year THAIFEX-VTS, DITP together with the Thai Chamber of Commerce and Koelnmesse Germany, are proceeding to grandly host THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA 2022 "The Hybrid Edition" in both offline and online formats between 24 and 28 May 2022 at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani Exhibition Center.
“In May next year, the COVID-19 situation is speculated to ease, allowing offline events to take place. Therefore, DITP will invite buyers and importers from all over the world to participate in business matching with Thai and international F&B business operators at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. Meanwhile, the online trade show platform via www.thaifex-vts.com would still be a major component for buyers who are unable to attend the physical event. As an advanced and user-friendly platform, www.thaifex-vts.com could, thus, accommodate participants to conveniently visit the exhibition booths and enter online business matching as if they are in the physical venue. We believe that once THAIFEX - ANUGA ASIA 2022 takes place, the Thai food and beverage industry can regain its momentum, yielding the order value of several billion baht after facing the economic contraction for almost two years due to the COVID-19 global pandemic," Mr. Jurin affirmed.
